White Pass Village in the United States (Washington State) is a small ski resort with just 5 ski lifts ( 4 chair lifts, 1 surface lift) but it does boast a respectable 457 metres (1500 feet) of vertical descent. White Pass Village has 638 acres of terrain over 32 trails. White Pass Village is best suited for intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is a also a lot of terrain for beginners and experts too. There are 18 kilometers (11 miles) of cross country ski trails at White Pass Village. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. A small proportion of the trails at White Pass Village are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Tacoma.

White Pass isn't the biggest resort and the closest charming ski town is tiny, only modestly charming and 20 minutes away. Lodging, dining and apres options are very limited.

BUT...

Hands down some of the best snow in Washington, stunning views of Mt Rainier and surrounding Cascades, and plenty of varied terrain for every type of skier/boarder. Lines are rarely more than 15 minutes, and mid-week is eternal lap-land. And lastly, you won't find a better vibe anywhere - staff and locals love this place for good reasons, and they'll happily share it with you.
