Brandnertal, in Austria, is a medium sized ski resort with 13 ski lifts (7 chair lifts, 6 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 1110 metres (3640 feet) of vertical descent. Brandnertal has 544 acres of terrain over 16 pistes. Brandnertal is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders with some terrain for beginners but little of interest for advanced skiers. There are 29 kilometers (18 miles) of cross country ski trails at Brandnertal. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe. About one third of the pistes at Brandnertal are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Zurich and the nearest train station to Brandnertal is at Bludenz.

This is a fantastic family resort. We ski all over Europe with our 3 children and we come back to this resort at least once a year (for the last 10 years). It's quiet, it's got a lot of very good runs and it's good value (not cheap but you get value for money). The snow fall is reliable and frequent. If you want nightlife go to St Anton. Come here if you want a great week of skiing in a friendly well run clean safe resort with good lifts and decent mountain restaurants which will not bankrupt you go to Brand
